Discounted Online Safety Education Through Safety Compliance Company
RCAC members enjoy a $5 discount per training per employee (unlimited trainings) off the regular price of $29-$69 for online trainings through the Safety Compliance Company. All trainings are in English and Spanish, include a final exam and proof of completions, and cover topics including Fall Protection, Heat Illness, Personal Protective Equipment, and many more.
Free Mandatory Harassment Prevention Training
RCAC members receive 10 complimentary employee or supervisor trainings per year to comply with the state’s mandatory harassment prevention training requirement (mandatory effective January 1, 2021, then every two years or within six months of employment or promotion). Additional trainings are provided to RCAC members at discounted pricing.
Legislative Bulletins and Updates
RCAC members receive consistent email reports summarizing the year’s legislative activities, including the bills that RCAC is monitoring, and the position that RCAC has taken. Members are provided with copies of position letters developed by RCAC, and provided with details for summiting their own letters of support or opposition.
Regulatory Bulletins and Updates
RCAC is actively involved with and monitors the activities of several statewide regulatory agencies, including California Air Resources Board (CARB), California Energy Commission (CEC), Cal/OSHA, and Contractors State License Board (CSLB). We report the status of those activities to RCAC members on a consistent basis via email.
Year-end Legislative and Regulatory Reporting
All RCAC members receive the annual RCAC Legislative and Regulatory Report summarizing the year’s new laws and requirements will impact their operations in the coming year, and how to comply. The report also summarized RCAC’S other activities during the year, including participation on the Employment Development Department’s Small Business Employer Advisory Committee, National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) committees, underground economy efforts, and more.
Free Recordings of International Roofing Expo Educational Sessions
For those unable to attend the International Roofing Expo (IRE), RCAC purchases recordings of the educational sessions presented at IRE, and makes those recordings available for free to RCAC members. Recordings include the audio from the sessions, plus the PowerPoint slideshows. In 2020, RCAC obtained recordings of 40 IRE educational sessions, covering topics including marketing, finance, and legal issue, leadership, technical issues, and much more. In total there is more than 50 hours of education just from the 202 IRE, and all the courses are free to RCAC members.
Free Educational Webinars
RCAC members enjoy webinars covering Cal/OSHA regulations, tax law, annual legislative summaries, and much more. All webinars are recorded and available for free to RCAC members.
Commercial Fuel Network (CFN) 
Fuel Discounts
RCAC members receive a discount of 5 cents per gallon on fuel purchased at nearly 5,000 Commercial Fueling Network (CFN) locations in California and more than 57,000 CFN locations nationwide.
Discounts on NRCA Publications
RCAC members enjoy a 10% discount on publications and webinars developed by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA members save 10% off of their already reduced member price, non-members of NRCA save 10% off of these NRCA non-member price), but quantities are limited to 10 at these discounted prices.
Listing in RCAC Member Directory
Each RCAC member is listed in the searchable membership directory on the RCAC website, providing a free source for consumers seeking a roofing contractor. Members are also listed in the pdf Membership Directory, which is downloadable from the RCAC website, and exchanged with members of the California Golf Course Owners Association, California Tire Dealers Association, and other trade organizations.
Online Roofing Industry Discussion Forum
RCAC members have access to the RCAC online discussion forum, which allows members to ask and answer questions, and exchange
knowledge with other members.
